Yes on 26!

I know some of the things I write about are silly and are meant for entertainment. But I want to talk about something serious right now. Something I'm passionate about. It's the Yes on 26 Initiative. If you don't already know about this, please read. November 8, 2011, Mississippi voters will go to polls to elect their new officials. They will also have the chance to make history! On item #26, they will see this question:

Basically, Mississippians will be able to establish the definition of a person in our state constitution. By marking yes, Mississippi has the chance to be the first state to implement this and it would outlaw all abortions in this state!!!! Hopefully, this will snowball into other states who are going to have this same vote next year.

Several rumors have been going around with false accusations of this initiative. Allow me to clear some of them up with information from their website at Yeson26.net:

Please, Please, Please vote Yes on 26! Roughly 50 million babies (50 MILLION, folks!) have been aborted since Roe vs. Wade. That number is outrageous! That's 50,000,000 citizens who could have changed our nation or our world in some way. Some might have become a U.S. President, found a cure for cancer and other diseases, solved the economic crisis, or just changed the lives of others around them. What have we done by denying these babies the basic human right to live? We never gave them a chance. Now is the time to change this! We have the opportunity to make sure every human has the right to live (at least in Mississippi).

Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight!
Jesus loves the little children of the world!

Aren't you glad that YOU weren't aborted?
